Registration for 2017

The GUSC Committee would like to invite all current and prospective players to join us for registration day as we look forward to a positive 2017 soccer season.
A separate registration processes will be used for each different age groups (Juniors, Seniors and Miniroos). This is a change from the past, and will require some adjustment from our community.
The major change is that the Junior age groups will have trials conducted where required.
Below are the details for each age group breakdown.
For all age groups final payment of registration fees is due on the 18th February 2017. After this date, players who are not fully paid, will not be allowed to train or play until payment is finalised.

Miniroos Fee – $440
This includes playing strip, training strip, jacket, all FFV/FFA costs and club costs.
Miniroos registration for all age groups excluding new U7’s will be undertaken on the 3rd & 4th December (10am – 2pm).
On the 3rd, returning player registrations will be taken. Returning players who do not register on the Saturday will not be guaranteed a position for 2017.
On the 4th, new player registration will be taken for U8’s through U11’s.
A date for new U7’s will be set in the future.
On the day players will be complete paper registration, uniform sizing and required payment of deposit $240


Juniors Fee – $590
This includes playing strip, training strip, jacket, all FFV/FFA costs, referee fees and club costs.
Pre-registration will be undertaken for all Junior sides and at the completion of that registration window all age groups will be assessed. Where GUSC determines a need to run trials for an age group, all registered players in that age group will be notified and required to attend trials. Reasons that could lead to trials being run include:
  • – Player numbers
  • – Assessment of squad skill levels to facilitate grading requests for the new season.
  • – Suitability of new players skill levels.
  • – Ability to cover key positions.

For comparison, if registration for 2016 had used the new process, the following age groups would have had trials for 2016

  • Under 15 Boys
  • Under 14 Boys

Key Dates Juniors

12th/13th November (10am – 1pm)- Junior Registration Weekend (new and returning players)
Player is not required to attend. Registration paperwork, and refundable* deposit ($100) to be paid.
21st-24th November (5.30pm – 9.30pm)- Junior Trials (where required)
All players will be notified on the 15th November if trials are required and which dates they must attend.
27th November – Result day for trials players (all trials players will recieve email/sms of the outcome)
3rd/4th December (10am – 2pm)- Junior Confirmation and Uniform sizing
Payment of additional $190 confirmation fee , uniform sizing, photos.
After the 3rd/4th December, any player who has not been sized up for uniforms will risk delays with uniforms.
For junior players, any additional acceptances will be subject to evaluation of the player and available spots.
* Deposit will be refunded where their either isn’t a team in the age group, or the player is not selected where trials are required. Refund will be made into nominated bank account (required on junior registration forms) the week after trials notification


Seniors Fee – $440

 Seniors registration day is yet to be set, however all interested parties should submit an Expressions of Interest 2017 Season form and or contact the Senior Co-Ordintor for more details on pre season schedules and registration.
