We hope you are staying safe and your families are well.
Here is some information to get all players ready for the 2021 Season as well as a training update.
COVID Safe Plans
At Greenvale United Soccer Club (GUSC) we take the health and safety of our players, families and committee members seriously, which is why we have implemented a few steps to help with this.
- If you or your child is feeling unwell, please do not attend training/games until safe to do so
- Upon entry to the club, please scan in via the QR codes which are situated around the clubrooms
- Please utilise the hand sanitizer stations as you enter the ground
- Each player will be given a bib which is theirs to keep for the remainder of the season and must be brought with them to every training session. If you misplace your bib you will need to purchase another one from the club
- Please follow all COVID Safe instructions at other clubs when attending their venues
- Please follow any advice given to you by the Victorian Government
As always, we need volunteers to ensure that our players make the most out of their playing and training experience, so we are calling out for volunteers for Team Managers, Referees and Coaches (for some age groups). If you are interested and want to know what it is all about, please speak to the co-ordinator for your child’s age group.
TeamApp is GUSC’s official communication method where we post the fixtures, important events, cancellation to training due to bad weather etc. Please download this immediately. Instructions on how to download TeamApp to your phone can be found at https://www.greenvaleunited.com.au/team-app/
Balance of Fees for Returning Players
As communicated last year we have rolled over part of your fees last year and carried them forward to this year. Soon, you will receive an invoice from the club to pay the remainder of the fees. These fees are payable by the due date on the invoices. Failure to pay the fees by this date will result in your child not being permitted to train or play until they are paid in full. We will not issue any uniforms until the fees are paid.
Balance of Fees for New Players
Shortly, you will receive an invoice from the club to pay the remainder of the fees, please pay this before the due date on the invoice. Failure to pay the fees by this date will result in your child not training or playing until they are paid in full. We will not issue any uniforms until the fees are paid.
Uniform distribution will begin after the final invoice date. Players who have already received their uniforms last year will not require new uniforms (This is part of your rollover terms and conditions). However, if you require new uniforms then you will be required to size up when we hold our uniform sizing days. Please keep in mind that additional charges may occur.
New players will receive their uniforms under the same guidelines as above. You will be notified by the club and when you can come and size up your child.
Due to Covid restrictions, please make sure you are available on the allocated days and times as this will help the process run smoother for all involved.
Details on sizing days and times will be announced over the next 2 weeks.
Play Football Registration
We thank you for registering with the club, but we will also need you to register with Play Football (for Football Victoria), this is an easy process and instructions on how to do this are on the Play Football website. https://www.playfootball.com.au/register.
Even if you have completed this in previous years, you will need to complete this once again. Payment is not required on this website, we will administer the payments from our end, so disregard the prompts to pay anything.
Play Football Registrations will open closer to the season start date, which is April 18 for all miniroos, junior and Senior Women teams. Senior Men’s will begin in the 3rd week of March. Please bear in mind that Football Victoria organise playing schedules and not clubs. Therefore, any modifications to kick-off dates and times are determined by Football Victoria.
As part of your registration process with us you would have agreed to our Club Documents, these are important as it sets the ground rules for the way ALL of us should behave. If you need to read them again, they can be found at https://www.greenvaleunited.com.au/club-documents/.
As most are aware, we at GUSC train from Monday-Thursday. This allows us to not only protect the ground as much as possible but also give as much time as possible for teams to train based on their age groups.
However due to Barrymore Rd Reserve being a shared venue and we as a club want to get everyone on the training track as soon as possible. To do so at this stage of the cricket season, the club has decided to have all the teams training on Tuesday and Thursday nights for the next few weeks. This is only for the short term until we can get back onto Monday and Wednesday nights.
Please refer to the table below for training days and times. Please keep in mind that these times and days will change once we are permitted to train on Monday and Wednesday nights.
